Booking boarding (overnight stays)
Search → Boarding finds licensed overnight care near you: choose in someone's home or licensed kennels, or see both, within the distance you pick. Every host shows their council licence badge; prices are per dog per night, and the Map view pins each host's premises so you can see who's genuinely close.
Like a hotel site, you can filter by features: open "Must have…" and tick what matters, such as enclosed garden, woodland walks, heating and webcam updates. Each listing shows everything it offers.
You can also give your check-in and check-out dates (and how many dogs) right on the search page; then only places that genuinely have room for your dogs on those nights appear, and your dates carry through to the booking form.
- Pick your check-in and check-out dates and tick which dogs are staying (in-date vaccination records required). The price is nights × dogs × the nightly rate.
1b. Home boarding: who else will be there? Choose Happy to share (other households' dogs may stay too) or Just our household: an exclusive stay means no other households' dogs for your whole stay. Some hosts charge a small per-night premium for exclusivity; it's shown before you book. 1c. Kennels: pick your rooms. Kennels are booked like a hotel: once you've picked dates you'll see the rooms free for those nights with their class, features and price (rooms already taken don't appear). A room is yours alone: dogs from your household can share one (often with a discount for the second dog), or spread across several rooms. Just say how many dogs go in each room.
- First time with this host? You book a one-night trial stay, a gentle test run for your dogs. Longer stays unlock after it's completed.
2b. Dates full? Join the waitlist. If your dates won't fit, the booking screen offers Join the waitlist for these dates. If a cancellation frees them up, the first household in the queue whose stay now fits gets an email. Book quickly: the space is offered to the next person after 24 hours. Your queue places live on the Bookings tab, where you can leave a waitlist any time.
- Pay by card as usual; the host then accepts or declines (declines are refunded in full, automatically). Your dogs' care notes (diet, medication, handling) travel with the booking.
- Hosts are never allowed to exceed their licensed dog limit; the app enforces it on every night of every stay.
