Setting up your profile: what you need and when
To browse, you need nothing. Anyone can search fields and walkers without signing in.
To book a FIELD you need an account and a household; the app creates the household the first time you book or when you visit the Dogs tab. You do NOT need to register your dogs to book a field: you just say how many dogs you're bringing and agree to leave the field clean and tidy.
To book anything with named dogs (walks, home visits, grooming, boarding, training) you also need:
- Your dogs registered on the Dogs tab, and
- for most of these, an in-date vaccination record uploaded for each dog on the booking (home visits usually don't need one, as the dog stays home; each listing says what it requires).
Adding your dogs (Dogs tab)
- Tap Dogs in the bottom bar and create your household if asked.
- Add a dog: name, breed (start typing and the list suggests breeds and fills in the size for you), size, date of birth.
- Temperament chips (e.g. reactive, nervous) help providers look after your dog; walkers' capacity rules take them into account.
- Care notes (diet, medication, handling) plus your vet and an emergency contact. These travel with your dog: once a booking is paid, the provider looking after them sees the whole profile on their side (on the booking's Dog details), so keep it accurate. Worth filling in properly before an overnight stay.
- Edit on a dog's card lets you change any of this later: update the breed, correct the size, add or clear care notes (e.g. when a course of medication finishes).
Vaccination documents
- On a dog's card, open Documents.
- Upload a photo or PDF of the vaccination certificate and enter its expiry date.
- Expired documents are flagged red; walkers require an in-date record for every dog on the booking. We email you once when a record is within 30 days of expiring, and once more if it lapses. Upload the renewed certificate from this page and the reminders stop.
