For customers
Signing up and signing in
- Open DogBookings. The home screen has the same header and tab bar as the rest of the app, with the DogBookings logo above a tile for each service; tap one to jump straight to that search. Tapping the logo anywhere in the app brings you back here. When you're not signed in, the top-right button is Sign in instead of Account.
- Tap Sign in. The same screen signs you in or registers you. Enter your email address. No passwords: we email you a Sign me in button and a 6-digit code.
- Tap the button in the email, then Continue on the page that opens, or type the code into the sign-in screen (handy when the email is open on a different device). If you've used DogBookings before, you land back on Search, signed in.
- First time? A short welcome flow runs instead:
- choose "I'm here for my dogs" (or "I also provide dog services" if you're a provider; see the provider guide);
- give your name and home postcode (used to show services near you; you can change it later on the Account screen);
- add a mobile number if you can. It is optional, but it lets a provider reach you about a booking. You can add or change it later under Account → Profile. That's it: every account can book services, and your household is created for you automatically.
Add DogBookings to your phone's home screen
DogBookings installs like an app, straight from the browser, and works the same way once it's on your home screen (including offline access to your upcoming bookings and gate instructions).
- Open DogBookings in your phone's browser and sign in.
- On an iPhone or iPad (Safari): tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- On Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then Add to Home screen (some phones say Install app), and confirm.
- The DogBookings icon appears with your other apps. Open it from there from now on: it launches full-screen, remembers your sign-in, and shows your booking details even with no signal.
The app opens on the page that suits you: your Bookings if you're signed in, or Search if you're signed out. (If you also run a business, it opens on your Planner, unless you've switched this device to customer view.)
Look for the green ✓ Verified badge on a listing or in search results. It means our team has checked that provider's public-liability insurance and confirmed their identity/DBS. It's an extra reassurance, especially for walking and boarding, where someone else is looking after your dog.
